The
name of this town is really San Román de la Nueva Orán, but
it is referred to simply as Orán. It lies to the North-east
of the province and is 276km. away from the city of Salta.
To get there one must first take national route No. 9 and
then switch to national routes 34 and 50. It was the last
city founded by the Spaniards in America.
