It has only one hall devoted to the region's history. Exhibits include objects for everyday use that belonged to the town's primitive inhabitants. There are fashion plates dating from 1825 and old photographs of the towns personalities. Santiago Esquivel, the father of the founder of the museum, was the person who discovered the Indian mummy in the ravine of Mt. El Calvario that is on exhibition at La Laja Museum belonging to the University of San Juan.
