Open Mondays through Fridays from 9 to 12a.m.
This
museum has one large hall devoted to archaeology, and handicraft.
Exhibits include Indian petroglyphs, ceramics, other lithic objects
such as arrowheads and axes and traditional woven goods made by
present-day members of the Indian communities employing traditional
methods and using llama, guanaco and sheep wool.
Pismanta
Pismanta belongs to the department of Iglesia and lies 185km. away
from the city of San Juan. To get there one must travel along national
route No.40 up to San José de Jáchal and then turn west along provincial
route No.150. This town is only 14km. away from Rodeo. The town
is known for its thermal and medicinal waters notable for their
healing properties for rheumatism, arthrosis, allergies and skin
diseases.
