This
is an open-air museum located in a park at the foot of the hills
in the "Quebrada" (ravine) El Zonda, where there is a group of sculptures
that form the national emblem when viewed as a unit. The sculptures
represent the most renowned Argentine writers and poets. There is
a natural scenic viewpoint high up on one of the hills that provides
a perfect sight of the emblem. There are sculptures of the most
outstanding authors including Olegario Andrade, Leopoldo Lugones,
Pedro Palacios (pen name: Almafuerte), José Mármol, Esteba Echeverría,
Rafael Obligado, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, José Hernández and
Alfonsina Storni, to mention just a few.
Rivadavia
The city of Rivadavia lies only 6km. away from the provincial capital
along Benavídez Ave. that is the continuation of provincial route
No.12.
