Rawson
Open-Air Museum
Located on Boulevard Mendoza between Laprida and José Dolores
streets
Municipality Tel. No.: 0264-4280677
Open all day long.
As can be inferred from its name, this is an open air museum located
in the square on the Boulevard. It harbors over 30 large sculptures
made of stone, marble and cast iron. Most of the were made by local
artists. Unfortunately, since they have no protection of any kind,
many of the sculptures have been damaged, daubed with paint and
stripped of the plates inscribed with the names of the artists.
Worthy of mentioning are "Protection", by Primo Vecchi, "Indifference"
by Miguel Ángel Suco, "Always", by Sara Mansilla and "Rag Doll",
by Lidia Batista.
