It has one large hall devoted to archaeology and regional history. Exhibits include objects that were found in the hills, particularly samples of cave art. There are also mortars and pestles, arrowheads and human remains of the Comechingones Indians. The premises occupied by the museum belong to Dora Ochoa de Masramón´s (local writer and researcher) grandson who is in charge of furthering the project and preserving the collection. This museum also harbors a collection of typical songs and poems of the province of San Luis.
