This museum was founded Mrs. Elda de Cremona who gave her first art class at the local National School on the 15th of October of 1945. She created this museum on October 15th, 1976, and many of her works are on exhibition as well as mementoes of Quinquela Martín, Horacio Guaraní, Ramoneda and others. Some of the paintings made by her pupils are also on exhibition.

San Cristóbal is located 180km. away from the city of Santa Fe. In order to get there from the provincial capital one must travel down national route No.11 up to its intersection with provincial route No.4, then turn north down this route till it crosses provincial route No.13 where this town is located.
