Open Tuesdays through Fridays from 8 to 12 a.m. and from 3 to 7p.m.;
Saturdays and Sundays from 4 to 7p.m. in summertime and from 3 to
6p.m. in wintertime.
Its
six halls exhibit objects that belonged to the first inhabitants
and evidence of events of national and provincial significance.
One of its hall is devoted to archaeology, paleontology and geosciences.
Its remaining halls cover different periods and events that occurred
in the town. It was Andrés Roverano who studied the origin of the
city and its most outstanding milestones. The museum operates in
The House of Museums, a refurbished 19th century building.
Santo
Tomé
Santo Tomé is situated on the right bank of the Salado or Juramento
River before its mouth at the height of a site known as "The four
mouths". It lies 41/2km away from the Capital city on national route
No.11.
