Three of the Cathedral´s naves were built in 1747,but the building was successively modified during the 19th and 20th centuries. Its three heavy studded doors and the weather vane crowing its triangular frontispiece are original. The building harbors an antique wood-carved image of St. Jerome, patron saint of Santa Fe, and a marble bas-relief of Christ that Rosas presented as a gift to Estanislao López.
