Open Mondays through Fridays from 8 to 12 a.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m.
in wintertime, and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in summertime.
Its
eight halls contain exhibits of regional material, machinery and
tools from the colonial period, photographs and objects for everyday
use. The discovery of the remains of a glyptodont in the area led
to the creation of a sector devoted to paleontology which is currently
being organized. The museum operates in a building dating from 1927
that was formerly occupied by the Cultural Center. It also organizes
temporary exhibitions of the works of local artist as well as theme
exhibitions.
Sastre
Sastre is located 137km away from the city of Santa Fe down national
route No.19 and provincial route No.13.
