"Los
Fortines" (Small Forts) Regional Museum

This
museum comprises a single hall exhibiting remnants of the Aguará
and Unión Forts. Amongst the exhibits on display there are uniform
buttons, chinaware, military and civil objects and stones belonging
to the aborigines. The museum was built around a discovery made
by the school students. The small Aguará fort was discovered in
1988 by a cattle tender. The hall occupied by the museum belongs
to the old boarding school building.

The town of Aguará Grande lies 260km away from the city of Santa
Fe. One must leave the provincial capital down national route No.11
up to provincial route No.4 and then carry on down this route up
to San Cristóbal where one must switch to provincial route No.93"S".
