Post Office Museum

This museum comprises a specially conditioned hall in which scales, old stamps and objects related to the history of the Post Office are exhibited. Worthy of mentioning are a flag donated by the personnel of the mail and telegraph service and old-fashioned mail-boxes. The Museum operates inside the Post Office building and all the items on display were formerly used by this department.

Rosario
Rosario is located on the Paraná River and ranks third amongst Argentina's most important cities. It lies 167km. away from the city of Santa Fe 306km away from the city of Buenos Aires. It is joined to the provincial capital by the Rosario-Santa Fe express way, and to the city of Buenos Aires by route No.9 which is also an express way up to Rosario. A must in the city of Rosario is the Monument to the Flag erected near the slopes bordering the Paraná River at the site where Manuel Belgrano (1770-1820, Argentine general and creator of the National Flag) hoisted the Agentine for the first time in 1812. The tower of this monument rises over 70m. high and one can take an elevator up to the top to enjoy a magnificent view of the city the river. The monument is flanked by the coats of arms of all the provinces by four Incaic suns.
