This
museum has four halls devoted to regional history, archaeology and
folklore. It harbors a collection of historical documents, a photographic
archive, Indian ceramics found in the area and a collection of archaeological
fauna derived from the research projects carried out by the National
University of Rosario. Radio carbon dating of these pieces determined
that they were over 2,000 years old. There are also typical gaucho
and criollo outfits, articles for everyday use and other typical
items of popular culture as well as local leather work and handicraft.
