San
Javier is located on provincial route No.1, 156 km. away from
the city of Santa Fe.
The
city was born in 1.743 as a Native reduction founded by the
jesuits in earth of Mocovíes. Its name is given in honour
for San Francisco Javier, co-founder of the Compañía de Jesús.
The coast is with the river San Javier, called Quiloazas,
by the natives.
Being near to the River San Javier gives the opportunity to
make aquatic sport and has a very nice landmark.
