This museum functions in what was formerly Bandera´s primary school.
It is an extremely didactic museum where synoptic tables provide
a description of the typical fauna of the Argentine North. There
is a sector devoted to insects with their divisions and specifications.
Another table covers vertebrates and invertebrates. The fauna is
divided into three groups: Andean, sub-Andean and Pampean. One of
its halls will be devoted to all the typical botanical species of
this region. The museum will also be equipped with a taxidermic
laboratory and a hall of ornithology. A special sector will be devoted
to animals on the verge of extinction. Amongst the many stuffed
animals on display, there is a spot-winged falcon, a black-legged
Seriema, barn owls, striped owls, a red lizard and a caiman or black
alligator
