This
museum has four exhibition halls and harbors a wealth of almost
400 pieces. In addition to its permanent exhibition, it also organizes
periodical exhibitions of the works of local artists. It was created
in 1943 by Ramón Gómez Cornet, a local artist many of whose works
are exhibited. There are also paintings by other renowned Argentine
artists such as Guillermo Butler Raúl Soldi, Enrique Mónaco, Demetrio
Iramaín, Hugo Irureta, Urruchúa and, amongst the latest, Ary Brizzi,
Rogelio Polesello and Pérez Celis.

This is the oldest surviving city founded by the Spaniards. It is
located on the river Dulce, 1,042km. away from the city of Buenos
Aires, on national route No. 9 and 187m. above sea level. In addition
to its museums, one can also visit its cathedral, the first diocese
in the country dating back to 1876, Libertad Park, Aguirre Park,
the Convent of Santo Domingo where the Holy Sheet is exhibited,
and the Church of La Merced.
